#1 Write down everything you eat for 2 weeks.
You need to be aware of what you eat and the best way is to see what your eating every day. You will see what you need to work on, if you are unconsciously eating you will find out, and this tip will definitely improve your eating habits by being more aware. Trust me.
#2 Plan what you eat!
You have to have a plan for everything. Nutrition is no different, and when you have a solid plan that you believe in, that will keep you motivated and focused!
I already have a 12 week meal plan/guide that I worked very hard on in my blog for free called Practical Nutrition: A Comprehensive Weight Loss Guide.
It takes the guess work out of everything and will guarantee that your on track to reach your weight loss goals.
#3 Eat more Fruits and Vegetables.
This may seem like common sense, but I can bet you, your not eating enough fruits and vegetables.
Fruits and vegetables are filled with water and key nutrients that will give you sustained energy throughout the day, and for your workouts.
They are also a low calorie substitute for snacks. This is especially true for fruits like grapes and cherries.
Try to add fruit and vegetables to your 2 or 3 daily snacks in between your meals and for breakfast.
#4 Eat More Protein
Protein is a macronutrient responsible for muscle growth, that has an effect on your body, which heats it up when consumed throughout the day. Which will cause you to burn more calories.
Also, when your trying to lose weight your going to be on a calorie restricted diet, and you need to consume enough protien and lift weights to maintain your muscle mass.
#5 Don't Binge Eat
Do you eat mindlessly and consume way to many carbs from processed refined sugar?
Your not alone.
A tip to improve your binge eating is to stay away from processed foods because they are smart, and put addictives in the food that make them highly addictive and hard to put down.
There you have it I am going to be adding more tips periodically so stay turned.
